When would I use my admin password?

There are 3 places where you will need to use your admin password to gain access:

  1. SSH access to your account. Your admin login and system password is required.
  2. FTP access through your system username to your account requires your system password.
  3. cPanel access

Note that when you change your system password access to all of the above will require your new password immediately.

Also note that for FTP connections, you must use "username@domain.com" for the username, not just "username" Unless you are using the admin username and password, which is the same username/password combination as your main cpanel account.

The customer portal is a separate login (your primary email address) and password. You can always use the 'Forgot your password?' link to get it emailed to you.
